Most unseemly.<br /><br />I've been lusting after that book for ages. It's not in my local university library and interlibrary loan is out since I'm just a local citizen and not a student. And it's still an expensive book, even used. My impression is that there's actually a decent amount of textual and archaeological evidence for human sacrifice all over the ancient world up to a certain point, but I'm fuzzy on the details.
